A “Big Picture” Scientist
Francesca empowers and uplifts others by connecting broad scientific themes to the human experience.
From Vienna, Virginia, Francesca graduated from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a BS in Biology and minor in Art History. In 2019, she received her doctorate in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, where her research focused on the development of the early zebrafish embryo.
While performing experiments and presenting data, Francesca was continually struck by the similarities between Science and Art, across both craft and creativity. Combined with her passion for supporting diversity in STEM, Francesca believes we can build a more inclusive and innovative world through the Art in Science.
